Not really what I wanted. I've wanted to do a long exposure here with a similar composition. Screwed up two HP5 negatives and then the clouds rolled out. So I edited this Portra version. The Verito did ok @f/22 for being a soft focus lens. Still could tell it doesn't resolve the greatest though. Didn't have my CC-400 set up for the Tessar. Would have liked to use movements instead of Photoshop to correct perspective. Not sure the Tessar would cover enough though.

It's pretty wild, huh? I can see that I could have a whole "trippy" series, doing half above and half below the water level.
Jon- gotta love Texas!! I've never been to that park, but drove too close to not stop this summer... But I blame having too many kids for my not having the nerve to detour off my path and stop there. I would love to go - and WILL - as I am planning a short trip to Marfa.
Zaitz - I know it's not what you wanted, but the "glow" I'm seeing from this shot is amazing. I would love to see it bigger... I really don't like seeing things on the computer screen. I'm thinking a nice large print would make this image happy.
Thanks Katie. It is quite different looking at prints. But I'll have to go back for this one I think. The vibe from that photo seems more fitting for a horror carnival or something.
Speaking of prints. I think I am done with Metallic paper. Holy shit is that stuff fragile. I couldn't have been more careful with a bunch of prints I just had done and I can see imperfections in each. Lustre with lustre coating is much more robust. And, unfortunately, my Epson 2200 seems kaput. Cyan is clogged and won't seem to get better. Globbed up shadows in every print. So no more Kallitypes until I can replace it even though I jut ordered more stuff, bummer. I was going to try Cyanotype over Platinum/Gold.

The 3000 looks like an awesome replacement - even Canon's Pro9000 looks great. Amazing how much these used to cost...
