corposant: Thanks! Now I'm embarrassed to say that as fine as the Mamiya 6 is, my favorite RF has to be the Baby Tech ...

4paws: PanF+ might be my favorite film ever (and I like the train shot a lot). A couple of alt-films for the alt-gear board:

IR820, ISO4 with #29 filter

Thanks everybody - ironically that was my least favorite XPan shot from that trip.

sebboh - I am liking the crazy vignetting - I wonder if you can patch that leakage. Also, leave it to SF to have such draconian swimming warnings.

Jewced - is the old "Portra B&W" or did you just convert in post?

drhee39 - motion picture film? cool double flare.

the further north you go the more hilarious the warning signs get. there's some great ones with good illustrations in oregon and washington.

i'm pretty sure the light leak is patchable. it only shows up in the shots where i used the ND filter and i was pretty chincy with the foam when i redid the seals on the camera (i ran out of foam).

here's some frivolous shots with the same combo minus the filter:

corposant: I bought some short ends of motion picture film for cheap and bulk rolled some of it. Cheaper than portra 400 but harder to process...

corposant, is that the 100/3.5? if so, how do you like that lens?

I was prepared to go all out and sell a bunch of stuff to buy one, but samples always lack something IMO. I looked at the MTFs, it looks essentially flawless, but maybe it lacks character or something.

I'd love to see some more shots from it, if you wouldn't mind sharing.

Yes, it is. My reason for preferring it to the 80mm is kind of a boring one - focal length. The 80mm is a bit too wide for me, and I have that covered on my Mamiya 7. I think it's easier to make compositions with 100mm (maybe because it's closer to the 50mm equivalent in 35mm terms). In terms of the je ne sais quoi - I think it looks like the rest of the Zeiss for Hasselblad collection if you ask me. The lens was designed for NASA for astrophotography, but I don't think it's technical skill robs it of any flavor.

The sign next to "Pull" says "NO PEDDLERS" Found that funny.

Vision 3 200T, Ricoh GR1. No idea where that light leak is coming from.

Mike - that lens looks good on you. sure you don't want the 120Makro? It's pretty sweet ... I will shoot a roll of color this week and post some.

IGeek -wonderful tones from the movie film (?) - is that what it is? Also, love the compositions. Feel like I was on a walk with you!

There's another 6'4" photographer out there? Maybe I should regrow my facial hair and we can be indistinguishable. My biggest issue is always shooting "down" - my solution when there's no WA lens available...the WLF.

Katie - the 120 MP is a great lens too. I was thinking about going wider (50 FLE) before going longer...let me reconsider.
