yeah, i could never get myself to go to the gym regularly but just got my exorcise playing club sports, which was awesome. now that i have a kid though it's a lot harder to schedule...
a picture taken from in front of where i get my film processed:
No one is posting! I should have had two 8x10s but the holiday last Monday meant they shipped late and won't get developed until this Wednesday...

totally unrelated to film, but both tennis and hockey are wonderful. Used to play tennis at USTA level for a few years, and have always loved hockey(russian upbringing)
Yeah hockey is great. I just got burned out and started to hate it.

Glad to know there are other tennis fans here.
Speaking of that - there was a picture of Sam Stosur in the paper today and her arms were MASSIVE. Like nadals left arm massive.
Didn't help her much at the Australian Open .
To bump this back up I'll post the other 4x5 Velvia 50 from a few weeks ago. This ones movement and color wasn't as good so I didn't upload it to Flickr:
Zach, I must say I prefer the first one much more. I agree about the colors, but also I prefer the composition of the first shot, farther away, such that we can see the whole refinery.
Finished a roll of Superia 400, now onto my bulk of Tmax and TriX. Hopefully Ill be able to post within the next month or so -_-

I just got back from a week or so around California's weirdest and most interesting places. I shot a bit but found myself a little unprepared for nature in some instances (by that I mean wind) - I imagine even on my (sort of) heavy tripod, I will have some disappointingly OOF/blurry shots. I am sure by the end of the week or early next week I'll have at least a few winners worth posting.

Hopefully it turns out better than you expect. I know what you mean now though. Even a slight breeze can do damage on 8x10. That is why I am looking into perhaps a 2 tripod setup. You went to Death Valley right? Seems to be a popular place about now...

Death Valley and the Salton Sea - both have one thing in common... a lot of salt.
There is a reason DV is popular now - it's the time of the year when it's not 120 degrees! It was a great experience even outside of photography. It's really an amazing place that really at times defies verbal explanation, very surreal and beautiful at the same time.
