Kaiping film recording
Kaiping in Guangdong is a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese in China. In modern times, many villagers from Kaiping left their hometowns to seek a better life abroad. The money they sent back to their hometowns during their travels was used to build numerous stilted buildings. These stilted buildings, scattered across various villages, are now protected as part of the World Cultural Heritage.

Hey James! Are you using the original SA30 or a modified SA21 for your full rolls? Considering making an investment in the mod soon but was curious about frame spacing reliability throughout !

Still like the LS-5000. Just center one - hit scan, and it files 36-40 raw files across the network while I do something else.

Julian, I modified two used SA-21's myself. Both work fine for frame spacing, and function identical to what the SA-30 does. One intake/outtake spool I got from a person on Etsy for the LS-5000, and my son printed the one from the Youtube video for a LS-4000 that I repaired. I prefer the Etsy one. Reason I mention the spools is that they only mount to SA-21 attachments, not SA-30. Btw - I opened the SA-21's up and soldier the pins. Personally, I thought the jumper wire on the business end of the socket connection is a bad idea. YMMV

Since learning that cleaning the sensor does make a difference, I've been draging out som negatives that had previously given me problems.
These are Foma 100. Love the look but apparently my Negative Supply carrier doesn't like the film.
In addition to cleaning the sensor, checking the copy stand for loose screws keeps the camera in alignment.
