Been wanting a lens for my 645's that has that Nikkor-S 5.8cm f1.4 Nippon Kogaku non-AI magic. So I cobbled together the closest match out of things I had. I wanted dreamy bokeh, and none of my A and FA lens quite fit the bill. It is closer, but still no cigar. So, I bit the bullet on a Super Takumar 67 105mm f/2.4 + adapter. The math says it will be approximate a 58mm equivalent to 35mm. It will be here soon. These are from my slap-dash lens.

If anyone else wants to try out trichromes, I put up a self-contained website to make them. It's what I used to make the images I posted yesterday. https://taketime.github.io/trichrome-builder/

You can really mess with stuff with the rotation and offsets, which IMO makes this boring image a lot more fun:

The separation and composition of these is incredible.

In register color is more to my liking, but that website/tool you put together is wonderful. Someone with no software at all can build trichromes online.

A couple more from the UXF 400 at 800 roll, but with a different lens on one of them. The 55mm f2.8 smc Pentax-A came with the 645 I sold. It was so cloudy inside you couldn't see through it. I have completely disassembled it twice, and cleaned it thoroughly. The rear element re-fogged after the first cleaning - so I cleaned the inside metal as well. It had been abouit a year, and no haze or fog came back. Not really sure what the cause of it was.

Finishing up the last of the 135 B&W that isn't Tri-X. This is Ilford 517 Cine film. FP-4 for movie cameras. The cassette wasn't hard to open but I did have to take the label off a cassettes that refused to drop in to the M4-2.
These were taken with a M4-2 and a 50 2.5 Color-Skopar LTM (no, I don't have the short hood) #15 yellow filter, Ilford 517 @ ISO 50 FPP-76 1:1

A test roll to evaluate what an X5 can get out of these and compare to my V850 scans below ...

And here is the V850 scan next to the X5 scan. Being able to see the film grain feels like a massage to the eyes. Next step is to rescan at home and simultaneously optimizing the height of the carrier and which color channel(s) to drop in the b/w conversion.
