It seems to shift to pastel in brighter areas or in long exposures... not really great for landscapes, but has a special character for cityscapes. Thomas Birke uses Ektar to great effect.
Thrice: I found a drum scanner for sale here recently for about 90.000 yen, but well..I can neither really justify nor accommodate it..
Judging from your 2400dpi scan...wet one will be well....wet dream..

Yes, I've been through his photos many, many times! I've chosen Portra for that role. I like it's latitude and it still picks up colors in a similar way, just not as saturated.
