Killing me watching this Mamiya 7 + 65mm shots, i have this camera and only this lens but doesn't work, bought the camera NEW from B&H and the lens from ebay [new as stated] and failed to work Didn't send for service overseas because no service for it in my country [cry cry cry]
Tareq - thanks (I think).
If you can, you should really try to figure out a solution, because the Mamiya 7 is an incredible system that's light with unreal IQ. All of my gear (the camera + 3 lenses + VF + film) weighs less than your RZ67 and nothing else. The only weakness in the system is that there's no 100-110mm lens, otherwise I'd be shooting it more.

There is no solution, tried with many batteries and 2 films and cleaned the electronic lens contact as recommended, nothing work, so i must send it for service overseas which is not possible for me now due to bad budget and financial situations, i know that Mamiya 7 is great and lighter than my Maniya RZ, i have Mamiya 7II with 65mm and i can see the difference, and i bought that Mamiya 7 to be my travel film camera, so i hope to fix it in the future as soon as possible.
My brothers dog Rodgy. He didn't pose well but I took 4 8x10s with the Heliar anyway. I can't believe the window isn't blown out. It was sunny outside.

Corposant, I'm in DTLA more often than not, and for years, and I have yet to spy that JESUS SAVES shot you got. Very nice.
Here is one from Moscow, shot on Fomapan 100 and the CV 12mm. The scan isn't that great in spite of the lab using a Coolscan 5000. I need to shoot more rolls of the Fomapan to see if I like it. The price is certainly right.
I think a lot has to do with the season and the position of the sun - so I was fortunate to be where I was, when I was!
I know Foma is a good deal here because of Freestyle's rebrand. It looks like it has a sepia tint to me - not sure if it's intentional, or maybe I'm going color blind, but it looks cool. You should post bigger pictures up.

Such amazing detail on these large format captures. Zach - what's the typical time to set yourself up to take a shot like this?
Thanks. Probably 7 or so minutes with the 8x10. Half as long with 4x5. The problem is focusing. I get it focused on the dog, put the film holder in and the dog will move an inch. Then I need to pull the film holder and refocus.

The sharpness of this 135mm planar at f/3.5 is truly amazing.
I'd say so - the red (pink? fuscia?) dress really shows it. Great pose too. The whole series is on Ektar too - any feedback compared to your experience with slide films? I poo-poo'd it after I shot a few rolls, but I'm back into it again.
Thrice, are those dry scans if you don't mind me asking?
I am looking for Epson 750 wet mount kit in Japan, but it seems like not a single person have ever heard about a wet scan..
Hi, thanks Krosavcheg, yes they are dry scans. I have the better scanning kit on its way so I can do wet mount scans, mostly to avoid having to do dust cleanup.
That would of course be beneficial.
I got the film cleaning kit, so I suppose I could survive for a little while without the wet kit...and to be fair, the quality of your shots and scans is amazing!!
So this is a 100% crop from a 2400dpi scan featured above. I can't wait to see the kind of detail I can get from a wet scan, if only I could afford a high end drum scanner...
