Dan! Very nice, all of them (I wis #1 had some more highlight detail...) but #2 is amazing.
Thanks Zalmy! I don't think any of the highlights were clipped in #1, maybe if I had used a shorter shutterspeed and larger aperture for more definition in the water?

Zaitz, thank-you! I agree with Luka, possibly the best sand dune shot I've seen, fantastic work! any filters used?
Wow, thank you for the high praise!

Zaitz, that dune shot is spectacular! The color is perfect.
Dan, I thought the sky under the clouds looked a bit overexposed (which is not the end of the world), I could be wrong...
You guys are seriously tempting me to get my feet wet with large format. One day...
Thank you!

Zaitz, spectacular shot of the sand dunes!!! I keep thinking where were you placed taking this shot, somewhat more awkward with a 4x5 setup
Much appreciated! It actually wasn't that bad and I am kicking myself for breaking the ground glass on my 8x10 that morning. The 4x5 feels positively small and 'wieldy' compared to the 8x10. I am thinking of converting 100% to 8x10 O_O. Velvia prices though....
The tripod was stuck very firmly on the top ridge of Star Dune. The pain the heavy pack imparts on me as I trek about only further embeds the great memories into my mind.

Strangely I am more drawn to the "not film" one, but the "film" one is great too.
Thanks. I guess that's the great thing about photography, a lot of different tastes and opinions. I wish I had more film to show in this section but I only have a few 'keepers' from that trip.
@Dan, great work with the Ebony 4x5, really love the 2nd one and the flow of the water.
@Zaitz, love the incredible light in your dune shot, very nice.

I agree - I am looking forward to more 4x5s!
Thank you!
I'm not sure I'll be uploading this to my Flickr but here is another on 4x5 Velvia. This with a 210mm Kowa. Not quite the same but my main focus was that first image.
