This is all new to me. A Canon A2, 5222-XX at 400 souped in dilution H of Adox's HC-110 plus the EF 135mm f2 magic.
When I finished the bottle of original formula Kodak HC-110, I switched to Rodinal. When the bottle of Rodinal was empty, I went with Adox's Syrup 110. Mostly. I've been using it at Dilution E (1:47) with Tri-X and have been happy with the results.

I'm still using Rodinal, Xtol, and HC110. I was looking too reduce the 5222-XX grain a bit using HC110 instead of Xtol or Rodinal - and I think it did. It also reduced the sharpness a bit. I prefer the grain of UXF, and the luminosity levels of 5222-XX. The camera was a complete shock. I picked it up to have a backup EF mount film camera to the EOS-1. It felt super light weight , but I wasn't prepared for the great features.
Canon P, Fomapan 100 developed in 510 Pyro for 10.5 minutes using Zone Imaging's semi-stand method (1 minute of gentle agitation to start, then one inversion at the 10-minute mark). I like this developer with this film. I also used Zone Imaging's Eco Fix fixer; they note that Fomapan 100 fixes very quickly and advised to fix for no more than 1 minute. I did, and it was indeed completely fixed...that's really fast!

Try reducing the agitations. With Rodinal, I would start with 30 seconds of gentle agitations the do two inversions every minute. I started doing it with other developers and it seems to reduce grain. Have fun with the A2!

Even Df96 Monobath gets super grainy if you are enthusiastic with the agitation.
This was my second time going to ENP, will post a bunch more pictures. If you’re not familiar, ENP is a wonderful non-profit which rescues and rehabilitates elephants from inhumane situations throughout Southeast Asia including circuses, elephant rides, logging camps, and breeding mills. They have a gigantic open sanctuary and provide these elephants with food, medical care, and companionship with other elephants to allow them to live peaceful lives without human abuse. Unfortunately, due to their captive upbringing and injuries or medical issues, most of these elephants will never be safe to release back into the wild so this is a lifetime commitment (with many of their older elephants living well into their 80’s and 90’s).
If you ever find yourself in Thailand and have the time and means, I highly recommend the 1.5 day overnight stay at ENP. You get to see quite a few of their elephants rather up close (though touching is strictly forbidden) and get a sense of their operation. Lek Chailert, the founder of ENP, is a wonderful human being who has made it her life’s mission to save as many animals as she can. In addition to the 100+ elephants they have dozens of cattle, water buffalo, donkeys and mules, and literally hundreds of stray cats and dogs they’ve taken in.
A stray cat and dog rescued to ENP. All cats and dogs are neutered/spayed and vaccinated by their volunteer veterinary team, and are kept in their own areas separate of the larger animals. Some of the dogs which have been socialized and tested around people are allowed to wander the limited parts of the grounds accessible to tourists.

Kentmere 100 @ 200 (cat)
Kodak ProImage 100 converted to B&W (dog)
More of the elephants, because I’m looking through these film scans and they’re just so lovely. Development and scanning done by Sweet Film Bar in Bangkok. Prices are very reasonable and turnaround for 12 rolls (mix C41, B&W, and E6) was 4 days for all dev and scans.

I actually do less than that - particularly with 35mm. 3-5 seconds at start and a sharp bang for bubbles. Then three 45 degree slow tilts every 90-120 seconds rotating the direction of tilt 120 degrees. I once ruined a roll 50 years ago where the sprocket holes left streaks on the film. That was the attraction of stand development to me, but it takes too long and the base fogs to varying degrees.
