Try and pick a spot with a vertical line. That makes it easier to see when the patch comes into focus. Low light is alwas a challenge but eventually it will become clear when the two images come together.
Nice image!
I beyond appreciate the advise.
I remember trying for several minutes to get this one right, and in the end, I think I said eff it, and set the distance to infinity lol.
Roll 177: Probably my final roll with the Isolette II Solinar f/3.5. Acros + Rodinal.
Close focus test at f/11. I eyeballed one last adjustment to correct for the 3-6" offset between intended and actual focus.
The focus test roll from the Isolette III is drying right now, and my new to me GW690 I (a version with fully functional Bulb mode) is half-way through its focus test roll.
A preview of Roll 178: First roll with Isolette III Solinar f/3.5, Acros and Rodinal. I was hoping this camera could replace the Isolette II, but there appears to be a light leak. See the most obvious offender in the top right of Frame 11. *sigh*
Ignore the underexposed frames, I just suck at applying sunny 16 in indoor lighting.
Ok, one for the peanut gallery. Dr G took these w her 'Olga 120 (Baby Blue) and these two shots - the last on the roll, have this very specific light leak with backing paper markings.
No other shots on the roll have this. The roll was tight when I took it out and handed it to the lab so I'm thinking they accidentally did this in handling/loading the roll for development?
Watchoo lot think?

The real answer is the backing is catching or sticking as you open the back but is in place when the back is fully open. The onlly way to really know is take a dark bag with you and unload it in there.
I had it happen with a 6X9 back when I had the VH-R. The backing paper would stick to the roller as the back was opened then pop back on to the reel when the back was fully open. Cleaned the roller and it fixed the problem.
