Still trying to figure out which film stock becomes my standard, and if the SLR (Pentax MX) works better for me than the rangefinder (M4P).... btw once again edited in Darktable, and I am very happy with the results. Non-edited film fotos, well unfortunately that turned out to be a fairy tale despite my hopes.

I thought the rule was you have to use a film with no anti halation layer like Cinestill 800 for night time gas station shots?
We don't run a furnace to heat our house. That means I find, cut, split, and stack firewood each year so it can dry for 12 months while it seasons. I just finished stacking next winter's wood. It's hard work but worth it in the end. I had no help this year and don't klnow how long I can keep doing this as I'm getting along in age. I hate forced air heat and the fireplace is nice.
Mamiya 645, standard lens, metered prism, Portra 160, no post processing.
The DOF bokeh is just okay in my opinion, not spectacular like more premium lenses.
I bought a used Mamiya Sekor C 35mm super wide lens for my 645 at Robert's Camera in Indianapolis.
Externally it's in great condition and I thought I would enjoy it for many years to come. I took some photos from the front and realized this lens is FUBAR. I have never seen images this bad that are result of a defective lens. I didn't notice it while viewing from the WLF, I should have paid closer attention.
Every photo from this lens is similar. Notice how the center is tack sharp, yet the entire periphery is just plain weird. They said an internal element has shifted, whatever that means.
Robert's is great, I emailed some images and they sent me a return label and will issue a full refund.

I like! Next time, turn the camera on its side for a few shots to get landscape-format 6x4.5 photos. I think the only downside with this format is that framing is just a guess looking through the viewfinder, but that's basically true even for 6x6.

Sweet shots. Now imagine if they were 6x4.5 by removing a bit from each side. They would not look as cool as that edge smeariness that draws attention to the center sharpness would be missing.
