@Desmolicious, thanks (for some reason I can't quote your post above), yes this is the plastic lens version. I'll post these to the Holga thread as well!

Yes fantastic results. They look like they could easily be 1970s album covers, and I mean that as a compliment!

Haha, thanks, I guess the square format helps give that impression! I remember the music photographer Gered Mankowitz saying that he shot a Hasselblad in part because its square format helped him compose all his photos as potential LP covers.

It was weird, earlier today I couldn't quote your post either which is why I tagged it.
Working now though!
Can't wait for Dr G to use her new baby blue Holga and see what she gets with it. I'm loving using mine.
I had a Yashica with a waist level finder and found it miserable to use. Tiny, really hard to see and the images were reversed.
If you want a WLF a highly recommend the Canon Sure Shot Ace. Huge WLF in comparison, super visible and because it has a prism the images are correctly oriented.
Canon on top, Yashica underneath:
As many of you know, SoCal suffered from some of the most disastrous fires in their history. My brother lives in Malibu and by him equipping his house with a sprinkler system, owning a military surplus fire truck (I am not joking) and dumb luck his house survived but many many others in his neighbourhood are gone.
A couple of days ago was the first time I was able to get over there and visit with him, while surveying what was left. A drive that normally takes an hour tops from my home took three hours as I had to go the back way through the San Fernando valley and through numerous canyon roads to get across to his home. All of which had work crews with one lane only flow in many places.
These pics were taken with a Leica MD-a, Wtulens 17mm f16 (but I think it is more like f22) and Kentmere 400.
The Wtulens is made from recycled Fuji Quicksnap disposable camera lenses - two are used. I like it for specific purposes as it is sharp in the middle, then smears out and vignettes. This trip IMO fit its purpose.
I also took a couple of other cameras with normal 'perfect' lenses, those pics are in the process of getting developed.

It was fun to shoot thru that tiny viewfinder, but yea I think I will barely use it in the future.
Thank you for showing the Canon, the " huge " WLF looks good in a small P&S camera. I will definitely take a look of it.
The last several months I slowly finish my collection.
OM1 and OM2N - OM1 just finished CLA , will shoot another roll to test it. The roll shoot with OM2 just dropped to a lab last weekend.
Yashica T5 - I'm sharing these days.
Nikon L35AF - Develop/Scan should be done the next couple days.
On my watchlist Hasselblad 500cm late version - I'm not sure if I have to get another heavy/lager size of medium format since I already have Pentax 645 and Mamiya 645 which I barely have them with me while I travel because of the weight.
Nikon 35Ti - One of the elegant/well design P&S, but the price.....
Ricoh GR1V - I'm big Ricoh fan , have GR 1,2,3 in digital , but the price of GR1V and the LCD issue make me think about it.
Nikon F6 - Since I already have a N90. So unless the price is right, otherwise a F6 is not gonna in my collection anytime soon.
Testing Fuji GW690 - I'm testing a GW690 from my local camera store. Yet I still haven't decided to keep it or not but will see once film developed/scanned. Here, I have to thank you @rji2goleez

Heads up - The Nikon 28 and 35Ti are prone to shutter failures. Non repairable AFAIK. All p&s cameras now are basically living on borrowed time. At least with the cheap ones - they are cheap!

I think the GR1S/V have the similar issue? That's why these 2 cameras on my list almost 2 years but I still haven't pulled the trigger. But both of them always make me itch, lol

All the p&s cameras are on borrowed time. My camera repair dood warned me off buying any of the expensive ones, after I brought him my recently deceased Fuji Klasse W.
