Delicious rendering! I used to shoot with Pentax 67 and have had one in my eBay cart for awhile trying to decide if I want to return. I am craving me some Velvia chromes, but I may also try Portra if I get the MF cam (I have Portra 800 in my FM2 now).

I miss my Pentax 67! Shouldn't have sold it. Mamiya 7 is more practical, but the Pentax was more fun. I'm starting to think Huss is onto something, never selling cameras haha.

Thanks for the encouragement I considered adding 4x5 back in but honestly it’s too much hassle and aggravation for how I shoot now. The P67 is just much faster/easier to use in the field, especially due to roll film and being able to cost effectively bracket when shooting Velvia.

Yeah, when I wanted a bigger negative than 35mm, 6x7 seemed like a great mix between convenience and portability. And then in the case of the Pentax itself, the 105 is such a classic lens that'd had my attention for years, it was an easy decision to go with Pentax. I'm still totally satisfied with the format and the system.

As I understand, the old 6x7 and the newer 67II are less repairable than the 67. I don't know the ins and outs of that, it's just what I'd read. Maybe if we all buy Pentax 17's, maybe there will be a 67III

Hey I sold my GW690III !

I loved the results when it didn’t fat roll, but did not enjoy the plasticky double wind action, or the springy sproink sound of the shutter release. I actually preferred the 690II but the one I got from Japan was all hazed up.

The II has a cooler '80s aesthetic, but it definitely also has the plasticky double wind action and sproinky shutter sound (two things I couldn't care less about, TBH). Supposedly the III is easier to load though.

Played around with a 60 macro on the F3T and used a WLF with the magnifier (a great addition to the F3). 200T.

Love these. And you will see the WLF is such a great accessory, adding an interesting compositional perspective.

What is great about the F3 is you don’t lose metering w the WLF as the meter is built into the body, not the prism. With the F and F2, no metering w WLF. Same for my Minolta XKaaay.

So what do you do when you have a new to you Fuji GW690 III that gives you larger than life negatives? Put a roll of 35mm through it! Only four rolls in but the idea of a Tex-Pan was hard to pass up. My first attempt at scanning I used the 6x9 mask and cropped keeping the sprocket holes. For some reason, my Laowa 90/2.8 macro does not like the extra light and screws with colors and white balance. So I used a 35mm mask and created 3-image panos for each. I'd like to be able to keep the sprocket holes but I can't figure out how to scan and process to get good results.

There are adapters that are sold in kits, most are 3D printed that attach to the 35mm canister to fit a 120 camera. Some come with a mask for inside the camera. A friend and I both recent bought the Fuji so he 3D printed some adapters and I took the first step to try it out. Tons of youtubes out there on this as well.

Here's one example but there are many.

As for the viewfinder, I just focused on the middle of the frame and approximated where top and bottom would be. The rangefinder patch is your friend here. And NO, my mom does not know . . .

I really need to put a roll through my relatively recently arrived GWS 690 III. I got the one with the 28mm equivalent focal length as I figure I would use it more for landscapes.

I have managed to replace the light seals, They were described as being about 90 per cent by the ebay seller, which turned out to be 90 per cent deteriorated.

It really is a fun camera to use. And while it's enormous, its still pretty light. And with only 8 exposures per roll, it really makes you think before you click. I like that.

That was kind of my thinking too. Go for quality over quantity. Do you still only get 8 shots per 36 roll? I suppose it sounds about right, but then you might as well shoot 120?

Minolta X700 + Candido 400

Same as NC 400 I only adjusted exposure , highlight , shadow in LR.
Color straight from lab scan ( fuji sp3000 )

This was the first roll.
Halation is there but not obvious, you will see that when I share the 2nd roll. It definitely is Kodak movie film.
I can't remember the exactly price that my local film store is selling for, around $11-13.

How do you guys like the color and price ?
Ultra max 400 - around $9 per roll , Fuji 400 - around $8 per roll , Lomo 400 - around $15 per roll
To me , I may not purchase it again.

So, to follow up the colorful dragon boat races, I have a bunch I took this afternoon. Headed out with a roll of Tri-X in the M4-2 and the weather was just a few degrees above freezing fog. After being soaked by two months of rain, Ole Bolle was pretty dark.

I ordered a kit too because the idea of having a xpan like camera was so tempting, but am still left with a few questions.
Do you let the film in the receiving canister or do you rewind somehow the film into the original one, you would need a new canister every time if not since they can’t be opened without damaging them?
I’ve read that you also need to tape the roller to give it more thickness.
I’m not clear yet on how to do things yet.

Really cool photos btw, it really gives some nice results, looks as good as what I’ve seen from an xpan. I’m eager to try it too.
