I was interested in one, as well as the non zoom version, but then read about the lcd failing issues, rear doors cracking, and general electronic malaise...
The LCD failure is due to the camera back door swinging hard on open. There's an electronic ribbon in there that apparently can break if the door continuously swings open hard. I think I prefer the 690 Texas Leica series. Totally mechanical.

What happened in the second pic? The other ones came out great.
Tokyo in NOV is getting dark around 16:15.
If I remember right the 2nd one was at F2 with 1/60 or 1/30 when the sky almost completely dark. The one I posted already in LR with edited
For years now I've had a Zeiss C/Y 28/2.8 lens that I once in a while throw onto my Sony. I'd take a couple of shot and put it away. Well, I was doing some reading and came upon a discussion of the Contax RTS. A light bulb came on (actually, it was a DOH), that I could pair up this camera with my lens. Found a good deal on a good Contax RTS II and it arrived today. Clean and in great shape. I threw in a battery and a roll of Portra 400. Meter seems spot on. I love that this camera has a shutter speed of 1/2000 sec. Helps with shallow DOF. I think I like this camera!
I'm finally getting my C-41 process down as well as my conversion with NLP. It's the little things . . .
A few from the latest Rollieflex roll. One more roll from vacation to get developed and then going to try some black and white and develop it myself.
I gave the camera to my daughter but think she moved out of my prearranged focus spot. So here is a blurry focus on the "artist" hanging his camera Christmas ornament

Amazing you found one that works! I had an RTS and then an RTS II, in both the electronics died.
