I never shot with one of those 35mm Mamiyas (only the 645 & RB / RZ), not even ever seen one in the flesh, come to think of it!
Not sure why, they're not common where I am it seems.
How are they, compared to the Canon / Nikon / Pentax / Minolta SLR's?
Lens looks like it can deliver
Thanks! My first rolls of Medium Format, I still can’t load them properly.
I have a love/hate relationship with Phoenix 200 for now but I don’t think many other films would have given me that burst of light so I still haven’t thrown my leftover rolls always.

I find Phoenix to be way better in 120 than in 35mm. Which is a little weird as the same film stock. Must be the grain structure.

I managed to recover more from the shadows from the lab scans than what I could with my 35mm test rolls of that film that juste gave me atrocious results. Maybe the resolution of medium format helps.

Thanks Tina - Mamiya 35mm SLRs flew under my radar as well. The NC1000 is small and uses a CS mount which I believe is only specific to this camera. It's about the size of a Pentax ME Super. Camera is pretty basic, has electronic metering and is shutter priority (or manual). I like it for its size and simple functionality. I've been able to find 28, 50 and 135mm lenses. The camera is available on ebay and prices are all over the board. I paid $45 with a 50/1.7 lens. I bought a second for a friend as a holiday gift. Some of the ebay listings are junk and some are overpriced. If more people 'discover' the camera will achieve cult status (I doubt it).
