An unexpected favourite! This was intended as a comparison shot with the Leica M4P, but with the chap walking buy, the whole picture just got the little extra that makes it special to me.
The only drawback is the film. This HP5+ was an add-on that I received with another camera bought, it was not expired so I put it into the camera. But something must have happened to the film, the grain is so strange...

PS: getting into 28mm was and still is hard, but seems rewarding...Show more →
I’ve lost count of how many different 28’s I have owned. It’s more than a dozen between M mount and Nikon F. It has always been a favorite because it adds just a little more of the scene than a 35 and gives a little extra space when needed. Having used lenses as wide as 15mm, plus a bunch in the 20 to 24 range, I settled on the 28 for its versatility.
Leave it on your camera for a bit and see a wider world.
Went to Guangzhou & HongKong ( China ) , Tokyo & Kawaguchiko ( Japan ) for 3 weeks.
Didn't take too many photos.
Hand check - Guangzhou/HK/Tokyo airports allow hand check but they are keep telling you the X-ray is not gonna affect the films. Gotta take a photo after hand checked. Film prices - The price in Guangzhou and Tokyo is more expensive than U.S. I had no luck didn't see any Xtra 400 and Superia premium 400 in Shinjuku/Shibuya/Ginza. Got 2 rolls of Fuji 400, I didn't pay too much attention, I was so excited and thought that was Xtra 400 since it was 1 roll per person limited, but actually is made in U.S.A so yea it is Kodak. I just don't get it why there is purchase limit. Developed /scanned There is no comparison. It is so cheap developed/scanned in Guangzhou. Around $9 for 2 rolls of 135mm and 1 roll 120

Interesting, I came through Haneda yesterday and all I did was hold up my bag of film and they knew immediately, took it aside, and waited for me post-scan. They were using the CT scanners and knew it would destroy the film. I just had to tell them my camera had film in it, and burn a frame by advancing and firing the camera and I was all set.
Very much different from JFK who were nice, but annoyed, because they had to hand-swab each roll (though the agent was appreciative I had them all out of the boxes and plastic canisters).
