Thanks Jim. It was from the bellows. In subsequent shots it got worse from opening and closing. I had gaffers tape over the red gelatin window and made sure it was well out of bright light when looking to advance the film. Hopefully the new bellows will keep this old camera going many years.

George, That came out great! Is that lower left corner hot spot from the brass slide/red gelatin window for reading the back of the paper roll - or bellows?

Recently purchased an 8x10 Deardorff and this is a test picture using a Caltar 300mm lens. Cropped and minimal processing.
I don't know if I have the patience for 8x10 large format, but I 'll try it for the summer and see what happens.
You’ll be a lot stronger by the end of the summer. For several years it was lugging a 4X5 around, then I switched to a 6X9 bed camera, after that it was a Leica. It’s not just the camera, it’s all the gear that goes with it.
Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes. Three individual black and white frames shot through Tiffen #25 Red, #58 Green, and #47 Blue filters, respectively, then combined using GIMP to create a trichrome color image.

It's the docks in downtown Florence.
Thanks. Normally if we go that far south, we're on our way to Bandon and haven't explored Florence. If we do stop, it's either out to Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay or The Prehistoric Gardens in Port Orford.
