Kodak proimage 100 has always been a favorite of mine. Great for shooting in bright sun with harsh, contrasty shadows as it seems to tame those shadows and highlights in a very pleasing way. That is my mid day, travel film of choice. Still got some frozen here awaiting my next big vacay.

Yes, I'm using a 32mm extension tube. The lens only reproduces up to 1:4.5 on it's own, and with a 32mm extension you get to 1:2. The 32mm tube seems to be a good middle ground between getting enough magnification for macro shots and reasonable far focus distance for portraits on the 120/4 (I think it continues from the min distance of the lens itself, so you don't have gaps where you can't get focus at all).
