First time I saw a glory from the ground instead of from an airplane was a couple weeks ago on a nearby butte. It was faint, so I wasn't sure if it would show up on film but figured it was worth a frame or two to see.
Apologies to Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein:
Mamiya!
I just shot some film with Mamiya
And suddenly that name
Will never be the same to me
Mamiya!
I just shot a roll with Mamiya
And suddenly I've found
How wonderful 120 can be
Mamiya!
Say it loud and there's music playing
Say it soft and it's almost like praying
Mamiya
I'll never stop saying “Mamiya”
First roll (XP2 400) with Mamiya C330 is in the house. I missed focus on a few shots but got three pretty good ones that give me a taste of what might be to come with more practice. I got several rolls of different films to try, including Portra 400; looking forward to seeing how that looks in 120.
Test roll with the OG Samsung AF Slim, 25 yr old TMAX 400 @ 100
Shooting another test roll through the camera because there were too many unsharp pics. Using fresh HP5 to determine if it was user error or camera issue.

Nice shot Fred. What is causing the reddish cast in the lower left corner and right edge? I have seen a bit of this in some "scans" of old film I have been doing recently and wondered whether it is a camera light leak, film development issue or scanning issue? It adds to the effect.

Thanks Geoff!
I'm pondering this myself.
Here's another image taken with the same film (Portra 160), following the same developing and post-processing steps (from the same roll), on the same morning, but it doesn't display the magenta cast. I'm not certain about the cause, but it might be related to low light conditions.
2nd 'test' roll. Interestingly every image is pin sharp, while the first roll had lots of misses. Chalking down to user error (camera shake etc).
Really sharp lens, and the camera can focus down to 13 inches (!) which is very unusual for a P&S. And it does that automatically, no need to switch to a separate macro mode.
It has interesting functionality where the flash and mode buttons are always active - so you can, for example, turn off the flash before turning on the camera. Unfortunately when you turn off the camera, anything you set has been reset to the defaults.
Downsides? This camera is screechy! High pitched whine when turned on and it focuses. Not sexy. But I'll take it for the results it gives.
