I can't complain. The color was good on most of them. All the 'real' photos I should say.
The one roll of slide (Fuji 400X) didn't look quite as good as the rest, which was all color negative. Wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I sent them only C-41. 3 rolls of fresh Portra 400VC and a roll of some T400CN or something like that. The scans were very flat with terrible range. I was not impressed at all. I emailed them my issues and got no reply, also not impressed.
Hmm odd. They never responded to my email, though they were responsive on the phone. I'm going to post the scans straight as they sent them to me. Like I said, no real complaints. I'd be interested to see yours...
Nice shots everyone! I really must try some color film soon (again).
One thing though... Don't you think it's a good thing to write what gear and film you have used, since this is a gear forum after all?

More Pentax 67II with 105/2.4, this time with Fuji Neopan 100.
I just realized that ISO 100 is way too slow at this time of year, up here in Sweden. All of these are shot at 1/30 with some support from whatever there was to lean against. There's motion blur in all of them, but not noticable at this size.
I like the steps photo. Nice industrial look to it. Yeah, you should try some 400 speed film If you want fine grain, TMY-2 is pretty good.
The gear/film/etc. used can be found on my photos by clicking through to flickr and reading the tags. I know Nate posts what he used on flickr too. Don't know about others.

Thanks! I'm using Tri-X for the most, so it's more about me NOT being used to ISO 100.

I know, but I seldom click on the images. If I wanted to go to flickr, I'd go there directly instead of to this thread. Hope you see what I mean.
Haha, ok I thought you had been using Tri-X, but couldn't remember, and thought I had misremembered after reading your post. I don't use that much 100 speed film, despite my best intentions.
About the gear thing - I understand what you mean. It's just another thing to type out though and unless someone really wants to know what *I* used on a specific shot, I figure people don't really care, so why bother with the extraneous info.
In case your original comment was directed at me, it was a Leica 75 Summilux on the new Portra 400

From my recent solo exhibition.
Bravo. This is one of those images that I know I would've walked right by.
I used to be much more active on this forum. Now the only thing that keeps me coming back is this thread, it's literally the only thing I follow on this site.

And we hope you keep on doing so! Your work is great as usual.
