Thanks. DAG has my M2 for a checkup. A lot of people complain about the m2/m3 loading being slower, but I like it and it's very reliable. Today I took my daughter to a cool ice exhibit with my MP. I shot the entire roll and got home and looked at the counter and saw I was at 40 and instantly knew it wasn't loaded correctly. Didn't take a single picture. Was pretty bummed. I even watched the rewind crank and made sure the dots moved on the first or second advance. From now on I'll make sure I see a full turn of the dots before shooting. Will hopefully never make that mistake again and will go back in the next few days to the ice exhibit and do a re-do...with correctly loaded film!

It happens. I had a M6 for close to a decade years ago and have been using a M camera with the rapid load system since 2006. In September we were at the coast, there was a tree that had washed up on the beach and I waited most of the day for the light to change. The sun was low in the sky, shadows were good, got to 40 on the counter and realized I hadn't taken the extra few seconds to make sure the film cassette was properly seated. It's a humbling experience.
Don will lubricate it properly. You'll be amazed how smooth and quiet it'll be.
First time pushing film for me. Kentmere 400 pushed to 1600 and developed in Caffenol. Mixed results mostly with the level of grain. Some images from this roll have a little grain, some a bit too much for my taste. I'm surprised at the inconsistency throughout the roll. I think I need to try a more traditional developer.
One from September; Minolta XD, MD Rokkor 28/2, Cinestill 400D. Most of my frames had light leaks with this film (not an issue with any other films I've used in this camera, and I loaded and unloaded the film in darkness), but the leak on this one doesn't bother me much.
