A few boring test shots of the 35 APO on Portra 400 + M4. Wanted to see how it looked on film vs the pre fle. Hoping to start taking real pictures again this week.

The APO looks great of film- Lots of pop in those photos

Thanks Rusty. So far on film it seems excellent. Lots of contrast, sharpness, smooth bokeh and a nice vignette wide open. I have some better shots with it outside but they're of my wife while she was sick so she probably wouldn't like me sharing them.

Interesting color aesthetic. Is this straight out of camera and shot at box speed?

Not answering for Fred, but if you look at the long shadows he's using the 'golden hour' time of day.
If it's the image in this link, then Huss guessed correctly. The sun was shining right on her face, and it was around 30 minutes before sunset. I made sure she opened her eyes before taking the photo. I intended to shoot at the standard film speed, but the film ended up being a bit overexposed by about half a stop but in my defense, I didn't have a light meter at the time as my MP was battery-less.

Lots of detail from that Gold200! Would you share how you digitalized it?
Sure! It was via a Fuji X-T5 with the 80mm macro attached to a Skier Sunray copy box. I tether directly into Capture One and do negative inversion manually. I bump the sharpness up quite a bit (4-500) with Gold; definitely more pronounced noise but I like the results.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing! I am using a Fuji as well.

Fred, I really like the lighting in this photo. It's great! Is the sidelighting on your girl's face due to a streetlamp off to the side or did you provide supplemental light for that image? (I'm not familiar with the capabilities of the MP.) IMO the sidelighting is what makes that photo great.

Thanks! I positioned her beside a streetlight that was casting light from the side. Since it was nighttime, I needed a slow shutter speed to capture the scene on Portra 400 film. I appreciate ISO 400 film because, with an ND filter, it's versatile enough to handle different lighting conditions, from daytime to nighttime.
Hijack: For those of you who are posting images to this thread, please take a moment to visit the following thread to tell the rest of us how you are digitizing. Thanks.

I agree, it's one of my favorites that you've posted so far Fred. I'll bet your daughter loves it!
