I shot these a week or so ago with my N80 and 35f2D, on 35 yr old film rated at ISO 50 and they are sharp, so that's my expectation.
Basically all I did was point and shoot. Zero skill on my end.
f100 + 35 f2 scans came back. Here are a couple. But keep in mind all the nikon shots were wide open and my kids move like crazy and I focus and recompose. So I'm probably just asking too much of an old film camera. Really stopping the lens down is the answer for what I'm shooting. I just wanted to test it out wide open since the max shutter speed is so much higher than the Leica.
Fred, I am glad to see you in this thread shooting film and sharing images Waaaaaay back in the day, I would pour over your reviews on the 10d, 20d, etc here on your website.... started shooting profressionally with a loaned 10d. I got back into film around 2010 and seriously into it by 2013. I still shoot my canon digi cams but for personal work (unpaid), it is 99% film. I too enjoy the process of developing color or B&W film in the sink. Scanning has not been an issue as this kodak pakon makes short work with a roll of film and colors are usually spot on. I have not yet dived into digi slr/ilc scanning of the mf negs but may soon. Something about just having a camera, lens and a roll of film. The delayed gratification and whole film process is a tactile and rewarding experience.

Hi Jon, thanks a lot! I began with digital photography, reminiscing about the Canon D30, 10D, and 20D days!
Your feedback means a lot, and I've been enjoying the film images you're posting in this thread. Shooting film has been a surprisingly enjoyable experience for me.
