I shot film for about 35 years, then switched to digital in 2001 and never looked back...until now. I shot my first roll (Portra 400) a few days ago on a newly acquired Canon P rangefinder camera from the late 1950s, using some of my favorite LTM lenses that I've been using for a while on Sony. My first roll was mostly disappointing, but I kind of like this one of our neighbour's cat.

I was an early digital user but am mostly film now having transitioned back a decade ago. The whole process just seems more satisfying. From the knobs on the cameras (vs buttons and touch screens) to the development and the scanning. More rewarding in a tactile sense. Hope you get good use out of the canon P

When I got back into photography it was via digital which was amazing. Still is. But then that led me to re-discover film and thanks to modern digital tech (scanning, pp programs like LR) I can finally get the film results I always wanted! Which made me fall in love with the whole film process.
But there are serious downside.. I took a trip a couple o weeks ago and shot a lot of film. I scanned it all w my digicam, but am still converting it and w a full time job, it has been tiring! Usually I do one or two rolls at a time, but when you have a lot, it is a lot!
