6500 images for the whole day (me only) (8 hours)
after 12 days i leave only 1457 images
------
70% from 1457 - images from Nikon D3 with 85mm
other 30% from 5D and 1Ds3
------------
I hate files from 1Ds3
its really kill my time and my computer (core duo E8400,4Gb Ram 4-4-4-12,139GB Raptor)
-------------
I spend 12 days to choosing and retouching

WoW!! Some A+ shots here! I love the picture of the B&G leaving with the chandelier, very creative! you really have some great colors. She is a gorgeous bride! I would be quit excited to have a bride like that!
I like Nikon D3 and Canon 35L,24L,50L but unfortunately our world is not perfect.
I think D3 best camera for wedding (form factor(very comfortable in my hands after Canon bodies) ,real UDMA support - I can fly (another words i can shoot series in RAW,full frame with 9 ftp, long lasting battery,Really nice screen) But I like Canon Lens 24L and 35L
PS About:85mm - this is good a lens in both system (i mean f1.4 and 1.2) but Nikon 85mm focusing faster than Canon 85 mark II.
eminavn, you are one of my very favorite FM wedding photogs. But to me this was not among your best. Was it getting used to the equipment? I can't even imagine using 3 different cameras with different interfaces, 1 of which is from a different manufacturer. A couple of shots here are misfocused, and I wonder if you would've nailed those with a simpler setup. Too bad Nikon doesn't have an answer to the 24L and 35L, otherwise you could move to all Nikon.
Despite that, the work you did with just the couple alone reflects your usual quality. Beautiful work there.
The 1DsIII kills an E8400 with 4GB RAM with a Raptor drive? Not that I ever realistically wished for a 1DsIII, but that really makes me not want one.

I'm a PC person and i think my computer configuration almost top of the line (in PC line)
my processor comparing with QX9770 almost the same http://www.hardware.info/en-US/productdb/ZGRnlmZpyZll/bGRkaJibmJLK/viewbenchmarks/bGRkaJibmJLK
raptor drive fastest drive around

windows vista allow to install up to 4GB memory (particularly in my vista 32bit with SP1) - I know that logical step after buying 1ds3 buy an Apple pro but I'm not ready yet for this step.
wonderful images-i like too many of these so i'll just list a few i like in particular: 3, 4, & 7-you'll get more comments if you number them-thanks for sharing these
You know these are really good. Considering how big the parties were B&G, the outside setting, things happening all around you as crazy as a wedding can get, having to negotiate two varying ethnic groups and their family's baggage, you did great.
They were inspiring to look at, really liked the story.
As for the cameras, why didn't you choose one. Is it because you didn't have the complete lens package with one body or is it out of preference for what you get from a partcular camera?
Great job again
Well done.
Stunning work.
Despite the setting etc...you have caught the great moments.
Also you are highlighting where many of us are - with Canon and Nikon.
You may now go and attend the physiotherapy session
- who will sort and set your back up for the next wedding
Did you have all 3 cameras on you at once. How did you manage them. I am seriously thinking about getting a 1DsMKII for wedding work to go with my MKII

if you have a choice
which cameras to buy for wedding
i will suggest D3 ONLY
if you already Canon user
i will suggest 2 5D bodies - one with 24L or 35L another with 85L

this is ridiculous. 6500 images, you must be kidding
Why don't you just bring a video camera and take the best frames from it later on.
The focus on a few of these shots is off or very soft as well - is this the best from 6500?
if any of this cameras http://www.red.com
will be comparing to Nikon,Canon (price and size)
i don't think a second to replace all my equipment for this.
Please read your post after 3-5 years from now.
When i choose my images
the first looking I'm looking for composition and then looking for focus and sharpness.
I'm not a genius as many on this board and i can't to shoot 100 out from 100.
I think they look great!!! I am glad to hear that you are happy with your D3 - that's my dream camera - right now I have to stick with my D300 and D200.
Did you use flash at all that day? I carry both of my cameras -and only really find them cumbersome when I have a flash on one or both.
Again - they look great - great perspectives and colors!
