Thanks Ryan! My post-processing goals were to:
1. hide the typical (small venue) concert underexposure, and
2. to make up for the horribly bland lighting that comes with most venues here in Boston (and most spots, unless you're shooting larger venues).
Generally these issues can be saved with a flash and/or blackandwhite conversion. However, I didn't have my flash at the shoots, and the typical blackandwhite didn't provide enough impact.
And speaking of post-processing, I usually hate selective color, but your first example is why it should be used. Stunning
