Scott, good thread. I actually think we might have shot some of the same stuff a few years back. I really don't shoot concerts anymore, but managed to have few on hand. I noticed in an earlier post you were razzing Chris Schwegler a bit. I actually, used to know Chris pretty well, figured if you shot in that Detroit concert circle a few years back, we probably bumped elbows behind a few barriers.
here's my favorite from a show i shot last weekend... awful, awful lighting, but i ended up with some cool shots in spite of that. local band from here in orlando called Gorillafight.

No this was at some club in Chicago... the had these windows on the second floor, but they were up at the ceiling. I thought there might be a shot there, so I had a friend boost me to a broken out one. I basically balanced on my waist hanging out over the stage from about 50ft. I damn near fell on that shot. Scared the shit out of me and I climbed back down. I wasn't even sure I had the shot.
That shot was taken a couple weeks before he was murdered. I was supposed to go to that gig, but decided it was to much of a trip. I'm glad I didn't go as I prob would have got shot too trying to get to the guy with the gun. I had full run of the stage with those guys and even drank with them after the gig.
Like those shots Al... BlacknWhite takes balls. It's easy to make a visually stunning shot with all the colors. The better I got the more BW I did.
