I have a webcam watching my grass grow ... so just got a snapshot of UPS coming by to deliver a piece of recently released Canon equipment I've been waiting all day for.
Always fun to get new toys ... although since I'm a hobbiest, it's certainly not a 1DsM3 ... ;-)
UPS just came by my office, too, but I didn't get any delivery shots I wonder how many people around the world are getting a little piece of Canon delivered today?!? Mine was a refurb 24-105L
Your UPS guy looks like he is about to toss the box or was he just showing it for the camera
Actually, that was me carrying the box (I happened to see him drive up) ... but yea ... now that I look at it, I kinda do like a brown UPS guy! ;-)
I live in Colorado ... if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. Should be mid-60's and sunny this weekend ... but not uncommon to get snow this time of the year ... but rarely do we get major snowstorms like the Christmas/2006 one.
alek
P.S. PetKal: I wish an 800 F/5.6L ... but that's wayyy beyond my budget and would come in a MUCH bigger box

Ahhh. I was wondering why the UPS guy looked so damn happy!
I'm sure some of you 1-Series shooters with a closet of "L" lens will be disappointed, but I got a Canon 55-250 EF-S lens from UPS today.
Yes, I debated getting the 70-200IS F4 or the 100-400 ... but I wanted something small/light ... and a major bonus was that it was only $270 via Amazon ... so it wasn't that "brave" of a purchase.
A friend of my son's came over to play ... and this is the very first picture - handheld from my 40D with the TV room and fireplace as the "studio" backdrop - hopefully many more good ones to come.
On another subject, I must point out that Nova Scotia has the patent, trademark and copyright on: " ... if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes.".

Hey! I thought that Michigan owned that copyright!
Hey, that is a nice shot and I agree with other posters and maybe 1 series should be a little jealous - they cannot use EF-S Have fun with the new toy.

That's a real pretty portrait shot......you could have told me it was taken with the 85L or such and I would have believed you.
No way. Had it been taken with the 85L, he would have used it at f/1.2, rendering the tip of the girl's nose and her ears out of focus. This picture is much nicer than that!
