How fortunate to have this on your porch right in front of you ............
How lucky can a guy get You've got the right idea with the last shot That's pretty funny !
Loved these Socrate. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we'd go to the state fair and I'd get a "chameleon" for a buck. They never seemed to survive my care, or lack thereof, for very long.

Great stuff Socrate! I have never seen this, well we don't have lizards here so that may be why. What a cool thing to have unfold before you. I love 3 and the look in the last one is priceless. How long before you have them tamed?
Tim
Thanks Tim. It was fun to warch them. I've been always a lizards fan since I was a little kid, and this is the first time I was able to witness a fight for territory.
Socrate
P.S. It doesn't take long to tame them. Just the time to whisper sweet nothings in their ears.

Socrate, Very neat set! Was the looser OK after this little battle? Steve W
Hi, Steve. Yes the looser was OK. Actually he got away and they started another fight. He still lost the fight! he got away a second time and they stopped fighting. I guess he finally got the message.

HOLY COW that is a cool set of pictures! I love these, thanks for posting them!
Thank you Chris! they can really jump fast. They even ended up on my lens on time. I was getting too close as you can see from the shallow DOF.

Oooh WoooW now you have the lizards coming to visit you too! that house is soon becoming a Zoo
What can I say Socrate, amazing amazing shots! To see the winner going from brown to bright green was amazing! Do they make that hsssss sound when they're agressive?
Last shot is my favourite: the "head lock"
Thanks, Nello. No, they don't ever make a sound.. The liward I posted in my previous post was an Eastern Fence Lizard. They are not so pretty, but they are a lot nicer. I was even able to slowly pet him/her.
Next time I'll try to take a shot while I'm petting him/her. See if you can match that.

What fun that must have been to watch. I used to have green anoles as pets when I was about 10 or so. I typically had two at a time but they never did anything like that (otherwise I wouldn't have had two)!!
I just hope the winner is generous and agrees to share your porch with you!! While not really that serious, I know from experience that their jaws are strong enough to give you a decent pinch!
Jay
Thanks. Jay. It was really fun to watch the match. Good thing my dog was inside otherwise I would' ve never been able to watch it, much less to get some pictures.
When I was a kid I used to play with them and one think I used to do was to let them bite my finger. They really never hurt me, actually I thought it was fun.

Cool series Socrate. I can almost hear the old Star TRek music from one of Capt Kirk's fight scenes playing in the background while I viewed this. If I remember correctly from my childhood days of keeping these as pets, the black spot behind the eye is an indicator of stress (good and bad stress).
Steve
Hi, Steve. Thanks. Yep, they say that the black spot is a sign of stress. I also heard that that black spot is also a sign for dominant males, which could explain the fight.
Take care,
Socrate
