Awesome!! The concept, the execution....just in another league. I see that Photoshop is coming into play with this weeks WA...or did it? Knowing you, you probably made something actually stick to you? how did you do this? Very nice

Hi Mike,

As usual a very interesting idea very well executed. I really like how your stuff expresses ideas so powerfully, and the lighting is great too. Just fantastic.

Thank you Steve! You are correct. I built the door cover complete with hinges, latch and lock before I left work yesterday. Double stick tape does hurt a bit on removal. Photoshop was used to give it more of an inset look. Only "dodge and burn" were used around the edges for the effect Steve.

Mark, engi, Steve. Thank you for your thoughts. The image originally stemmed from a love loss I'm sure I may never completely heal from. The piece was going to be named "Keep Out".

Excellent image Mike. I think your title is better than the original one you intended.

What a great idea! And about the lack of time, I haven't had time to set up anything for months, I just have to settle with snapping something if the cam happens to be around

Between me and Mark, looking at some of your other posts and Gallery work we figured that there was some emotional upheaval evident in the images. I don't know if you've got a behind the scenes shot for this, it would be interesting. Another brilliant image, so much so that I was passed a message at work that you had posted an entry!!!

For just throwing something up I think its really a good shot, makes me think of my four bypass surgery I had awhile back. Good luck this week.

Thanks Jim, A lot of my images stem from personal emotions but I realize that they may be received in many different ways and become personal to others. I'm trying to avoid titles that are to reflective of my personal ties with the image. I like "Tin Man" too. Thanks

Wonderful image, great metaphor, very powerful. Sorry about the loss; alas, I know that ache well, too. (Now happily remarried to a gem, so don't give up on love!) Great advice: if someone doesn't love you for who you are, help them pack! Good luck. Art is great therapy, just be careful and know when to move on and celebrate all the possibilities in store for you! Dr. Bev has spoken.

Endre! Thanks buddy, it is much appreciated. I was trying to keep the image void of any PS. I even took pliers and curled the edges of the door under before the shot in hopes to give it an embed feel. The double stick tape did its job of holding the door in place but it did not pull it as tightly to my skin as I wanted it too. Like I have said in the past, I will go as far as I can in the real world to achieve my outcome but I will not let technicalities prevent the vision. The art of it is more important to me than the category it may fall under.

Hi Jouko!! Thanks for stopping by. Remember some of the best images are taken right off the cuff. Some moments in time can never be setup or recreated. That is pure power!

Hey Adam, Thanks man! Looks like we shared the same pain playing director, photographer and model this week. Flibble makes it look so easy It is quite the challenge and without a remote to boot. Thank god for the onboard timer.hehe You think I would learn by now but I always say never again. Ok, I do admit to using a handheld makeup mirror to help in the real time feedback of light and angle. Call me the ghetto photographer :P

Thanks Jason. Not a whole lot visually in the shot I know. It was more the message I suppose. I'm glad you like it! Thanks
