I do a lot of night photography with a 5D. Although not at all fast the 5D rarely misses on focus for me. Although speed is not some thing I am concerned with. If I was their would probably be a problem........I am still looking forward to a new verson....I just hope they don`t screw it up
I think he meant to type: 1Ds Mk 1+1+1... tanj wrote:
Why can't people learn Roman numerals? 1Ds III, not 111. That one is still far, far in the future...
In the highly unlikely event that Canon ever read this post, guys I've got the money saved up in my bank account, ready to go. Please could you release the 3D asap.
The day they stop hearing is the day they will start declining. Just be patient.

Based on what evidence? Past history? Canon do their own thing, and if it happens to suit the current market, so be it! I really don't see much evidence of them reacting to market conditions, either in price, or technology.
I'm hoping to be wrong here. And I really wish the current 5DII rumours are correct. But I'll belive it when I see it!
I like the logical/mathematical approach, so I don't see any need for help to Monito.
There are humans and there are languages, and there is no one-to-one correlation between them. Think Esperanto, Latin, Java and Fortran, to name a few.
It's not an eye chart. Its math! We haven't thought up symbols for everything yet, but we're getting close.
Take for instance Bolzano's Intermediate Value Theorem: ∀ ƒ:ℝ→ℝ continuous on [a,b] ∍ƒ(a)<0 ∧ ƒ(b)>0 ∨ ƒ(a)>0 ∧ ƒ(b)<0, ∃ c∈(a,b) ∍ ƒ(c)=0. Dammit, we need a symbol to represent "is continuous on." Oh snap!
Apparently Canon is offering a free M80 with the purchase of a 5D body or kit here in Australia. Looks like Canon is trying to clear some stock to make way for the replacement model.
