Mmmmm those espresso shots have me drooling and make me want to go and dust off my Silvia and Mazzer mini... I have just been too lazy to wake up early enough to use them during the week.

I make one for the husband every morning before work.... Then I play with the camera
Y'all have me convinced. So much so that I'll be trading my hardly used 100-400 and obsolete 17-40 (16-35 mkII is on the way) for one of these babies. Hope I'll be able to get it in a few weeks time

From yesterday...gotta love getting shots when there is zero sun.
How do you get pictures to look that good with no sun? When I shoot with no sun and over cast my pictures come out looking flat lacking tones of contrast.
Its the lens. The 85 1.2 is a light sucker so it sucks in every ounce of light and seems to enhance it, showing light that you can not even see while on the scene! Incredible lens.
There are some great images but most of them are pretty ordinary snapshots to me, and some are really poor. I dunno, if I don't already own this lens, frankly, I will not be too encouraged by the samples on these pages. There are far better images on the 5D image thread than on this thread.
Has anyone had issues with CA and softness at f/1.2? My copy exhibits a lot of CA and softness wide open (on both my 5D and 1Ds II) but it all sharpens up at around 2.2. 2.8 is pretty damn sharp.
