This was sprawled out on the counter in the Canon store in Brussels I bought the lens from, so was my first shot with this lens.

Every time I go buy something, this time the 90TS, you guys start this darn 85 1.2 thread. You have no common decency, just none at all. By the way, does the cat come with the lens, at the store, or do you send off for them?

Is the minimum focusing distance of this lens shorter than that of the f/1.8 version? Different between v1 and v2?

Good thing they don't come with the Mark III bodies... Could you imagine packing that Cat up twice in a box to send in for repair?

Look at the shot by "Thouse" of his daughter on Page 1. You could not get this shot with any other lens. A shot like this one is absolutely priceless!

That would be subjective. Especially, to those that don't make $ with their lenses or have unlimited funds.

I agree it's a nice lens and pic though.

It's a stellar shot, as are many of the others in this thread. Considering it was at f/2, are you saying that it wouldn't be as good if shot with the 85 1.8 @ f2?
