I just purchased this lens & would love to see some images made by those that have it. I would think technique would be important with this hunk of glass.
Damn you all!! ...."
Damm right! and don't forget the prayer... don't bring us into temptation...", you're guilty as hell, but you can deliver the lens for me to test out for a year, your sin will be forgiven...
I just wipe my keyboard for drooling over the pix's IQ. When I grow up, I will get one myself!
I know what you mean Shane. That lens is simply amazing with the colors, but it's a labor of love with it's size. I guess the MODEL had something to do with it, too... She's about 5'10" and HOT!!

Lol-Don't worry there Sam, it is still the majority opinion of most non-85l owners that the non-L's are just as good (or better) than this one, obviously due in part to the mediocre quality of all images posted (I.e. "That picture would have turned out just as good using my ___mm screwed in backwards). Under that argument, anyone who owns a lens (any lens) Is just as guilty as u suggest!
over the 1.8, it's certainly freakishly heavy =) 1.8 is very light.. plus man i feel awful for banging it up against walls n stuff when walking around. I know they're built tough. but its still painful
I never use the Canon software.... just Photoshop. But I remember once when I used it I saw the focus point displayed & I can't remember what the app was.
