In honor of the new year, my entry is entitled 'A New Leaf.' Something we all resolve to 'turn over' with each new year. I can't decide between this one, or the one below, so let me know what you think.
Sorry to be so late!! It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I haven't even gotten to comment, but I'm going to try to catch up!
Let me know what you think!!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas, and that 2008 is your best year EVER!
Philly, I love the first one; it evokes a mood with the wonderful light and softness. The little new leaf is adorable, and your concept is perfect for the WA.

Beverly, my sweet friend! I'm so glad you like it the best...so do I! Great!
I really appreciate your input, as always.
Very nice work Philly, good to see you back and at it, hope you had a good holiday!
I think your first is best for the portrayed subject, although photographically the second might be just a little better. Tough choice when both are so good.

Hi Jason! Thanks for the welcome back! Had a great holiday, thanks...hope yours was full of peace and joy.
So......you aren't taking a stand, huh? I appreciate your thoughts on both...maybe I'll come to a final conclusion before our deadline.
Really a hard choice for me to make Philly. They are both fantastic. Love the new growth beginning in each but I think the white BG in #2 is reminding me too much of the early, and plentiful snow we've gotten this year so far. I gotta go with #1 with it's sunshine lighting.

Thanks, Bill, my very kind friend! I think 'fantastic' is too high a compliment, especially compared to the other entries, but I appreciate you so much! (I'll take all the compliments I can get! )
I couldn't come up with anything truly unique or creative, so 'new growth' had to do.

Hi Carrol! (My friend of few words. )
Another vote for my favorite.....I think two votes are all I need.
Thanks soooooooo much!!!
Okay, just had to make the above post for laughs.
Sorry for the brevity earlier, but I was trying to get my image cropped and entered here at the last minute... while still offering my humble opinion.
Glad we don't have to wait 2 weeks between each assignment all the time... that was too long to wait for a new one. Ha.
