Douglas, with your images it's not just the captures, which are stunning in their own right. It's also that you have a gift (or hard-won skill and acumen perhaps) for post-processing: your images have a particular feel that is breathtaking. They would appear to be untouched, but there's a depth and sense of quality to them that is somehow "better than real life" yet very subtle.
You may argue that you lack experience, or opportunity, or something. I'll simply tell you that your resulting images ARE the work of a master, however you may have gotten there.

Beautiful Douglas! The height thing is purely mind over matter and you obviously dealt with it just fine. I have no desire to throw myself out of an airplane, but I sit at the edge of the fuselage, mesmerized by the view before me, and I know that I could just roll out into that sky without a second thought. Yeah, just like those guys did in the B25.......only I'd prefer to be wearing a chute.

Thank you very much for the high praise, Rodolfo! It's the only hobby I have so I keep working on it.

Thank you, Jim! I am not sure if I can ever get over the height thing. My legs starting shaking if I stand on the balcony on 10th floor and look down. I have this sensation even when I watch youtube clips in which people do rock climbing or stand by the edge of a cliff.
I am taking a short break from the air to air files, too many to go over. I went to just one day time airshow in Lakeland but didn't get one single shot that I like, I don't know if it was the heat shimmering or operator error, perhaps both. Here are some of the shots from two evening shows. It's my first time to see the Polaris Ghost Squadron. The Mig 29 is a good-looking jet, IMO. There is just something special about photographing planes outside the typical 11-4:00 day time airshow hours.

Thanks Eddie,
Been a super good and lucky year so far...F-16's in a few weeks as well and the F-5's again in a few months with the F-35's again. Airshow next month with a fireworks and drone show Friday night as well, gonna be fun.
I went out to the LA area last weekend to chase trains with a friend of mine. If you've never been to Cajon Pass, about 80 to 90 miles east of LAX, you should go. To see the amazing engineering feat that many people before me accomplished in getting trains over this gigantic pass is truly incredible.
After we chased the trains for a few days, we went back to LAX and the weather was awful. Got into a huge rainstorm before we got to the airport and it finally cleared off for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon.

The most of them are from Belgium and a couple I believe from the Netherlands.
The Guys from the Aviation photo crew.

Good Morning Bill, Sure is great to see you making such great use of your new gear! Glad you're having fun!
Gear has had quite a work out in the last few months considering when I bought that R5 on a Black Friday and didn't use if for a few months because of the weather. That 500 I bought is quite impressive, especially with the 1.4X. I sold that first 1.4X because it didn't work well with my 300 but had to buy another to try on the 500 and it's beautiful but on the 300, still not good but that's fine, the 500 is quite a reach and sometimes is to much filling the frame but that 300 is the cream of the crop as you know.
