Really amazing setup !
A lesson learned:
Aim behind the target to keep the round from going in ahead of it.
Well yeah, depends upon the forward speed of the aircraft . . . Birddogs do not hover well -
except into an equal-speed headwind, like the ones coming out of a roll cloud.
And then the winds help the bad guy's rounds to go behind you. Always good.
Doing low level road recons with extra manifold pressure - back seater says " He is waving at us."
"Nope - shooting". "I can't hear it." Yup - we are already gone from there by then" . . . :-)

A "cherry's"(virgins to war) mistake Sir! When a green tracer round straddles his legs, he will get the "point"..no pun intended!
Dutch C130H take-off from Eindhoven AB for the 2014 Market Garden Memorial.
Don't remember anymore why the sky looked like that, maybe air pollution because there were a lot of C130's there that year.

Anyone needing the new RF 100-300 lens? One of my suppliers just called me to tell me that he had one with my name on it. I have zero interest, but I hear it's a great lens.

I'm good with what I got but thanks for mentioning it here Jim.

Took pixs of a re-skin and whatever else needs done for a B-25 horizontal stabilizer and if it gets done soon enough they might re-skin the vertical one as well. This is for a customer back in Switzerland. Next pixs will be with all the skins off.

On another mishap...Not Boeing this time.
The newly painted black and orange tiger stripe F-5 did a belly landing at Hill AFB a few weeks ago when the landing gear didn't come down, guess it came in on the tanks so they second as landing gear......They had it back up in the air in a few days.
Got some new coins cut for the F-5, laser cut out and then laser etched and also some for the TACAIR boys.
I had a good friend call me last week to ask if I did real estate photography and drone work. I knew what he was asking me, but didn't want to appear abrupt so I asked him what he needed. He had two residential properties, one on 20 acres, that he needed still and drone shots done on. Once again, not wanting to appear ungrateful, I asked him what he was thinking budget wise, he said he didn't know. I suggested that he call a few people who specialize in working with residential realtors and get quotes, then call me back and we could discuss his needs. The two quotes were $150 and $200 (for the one with acreage). The photographers quoted those prices for 20-30 interior and exterior shots, plus drone captures. I told my friend that I would shoot them for him for free if he would like me too, but he doesn't really want a quote from me
So that is, drive to the locations, at least an hour, shoot the shots and I have no idea what they are thinking there, and drive home, for a grand total of $150-$200. Oh, yeah, and do the post processing. Um, I don't let much business slip by, but they can have all of that work that they want.
And that, boys and girls, is why there are so many "like new" drones for sale on the forums.
