This one is EPIC! Jim.
The EVF of the Sony A1, A9, A9II, Canon R3 (I think), Nikon Z9 and now Z8, have no lag, actually it's better than DSLRs' OVF, because there is no blackout when you shoot, just like shooting video,
Beautiful Douglas, and a Happy 4th to you as well and everyone else here...

Rob looks like we both went to the air museum this weekend...Nice pixs, love seeing all those.

Yup, just gonna have to wait the lag issue out, they'll fix it eventually. I like so much about these cameras and lenses I am willing to give them a pass (temporarily) and muttle through a few "gottaways". At one point on Friday evening I had the R5C dialed in so perfectly I was nailing everything, and with the RF600 no less, but I did something and was back to square one for Saturday's show. When It was working I could lock on to Rebel, hold the back focus button and the little squares would dance all over the sensor keeping her in focus no matter where she was. About the time I have this figured out my R1/R5CII will arrive............
Early every morning in Florida I laid all my gear out in ambient conditions so the lenses and bodies didn't condense. Took about an hour for them to acclimatize............
To my American FM friends, happy 4th of July! I will be shooting at the same location tomorrow but this one is from 2021.
Fantastic Douglas!
We had our local fireworks yesterday after a torrential storm. Luckily I could take pics from the top floor of the local parking garage.
GReat work!
Tonight should be great if the storms hold off!

Glad you finally got some rain Dan!
Jim,
It has been a total "charlie foxtrot" for weather forecasting around here! 99.9 disapproval rate! Millions of dollars of sophisticated equipment/computers and what I see on the tv screen and what is actually happening is 180% out of phase.
A "6 figure" job to forecast zilch...Heh..my kind a job!
Happy 4th brother and to best buddy!

Jim,
Many of us forget what introducing equipment from a stable climate indoor or car environment to outside can do and do quick to a lens glass!
Man it has been hell here for that!

Beautiful Bill!!!
Back at ya!
Major storms are all around us. The skies are so supposed to be "opening" around 3pm.
It has been hell here with the smoke and smell from the Canadian wildfires then dealing with Maryland's 3 H's, hazy, hot, humid....is really isolating.
Happy 4th brother!
