Doesn't give me a great deal of confidence when I see the clips of the Chinese military with their their disciplined formations and never ending streams of equipment, while our military focuses on being "WOKE". Nothing like urinating on the sacrifices our great men and women have made over the years, we deserve what we get. If we devoted half as much money and attention to taking care of our Veterans we'd have a lot of their problems solved.

I read somewhere two weeks ago that a drag show on an AFB in Nevada was organized but cancelled? Maybe before the end of June I should stop by Target to get me a "tuck friendly swimsuit" and use their lady's room after I have a couple Bud Light. This country is mentally ill.
I was going to go to the airshow in Ocean City, MD this past weekend but got sick with my wife at the same time. We thought the Xi virus finally got us after 3 years because we had most of the symptoms. But after 3 negative tests, it's not COVID but some other virus going around. We are fine now except a bit occasional coughing. I may go to Latrobe, Pa this weekend for their show but the lineup is just so so. There won't be really good shows around here before the show in Oceana in Sept., long drought!
Miniature planes, but I think they look pretty good. Some real gas turbines, some electric ducted fans. There was one plane made of carbon fiber that could pull 20g sustained. A dog fight with something like that wouldn't go well. I didn't get any good pictures of it, I could barely even get it in the frame.

Welcome tschopp! Those are some of the toughest subjects to capture and you did an outstanding job. Tuscola was part of my territory for Caterpillar back in the 70's, spent a lot of time running up and down HWY 36.

Sorry you missed the air show Douglas and am glad you and your wife are back to normal.
The state of America's, by many, is directly related to the conclusion of the premise of "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire". With some variations. With their military, finance, religion, and power all being contributing factors. The empire was used to having a strong and capable military, but its decline in success resulted in less land, and more vulnerability. Increases in unemployment and government distributions arose. The beginnings of Socialism. The slow rise of the new religion Christianity , while in America now it is the decline of religion and its precepts.
Many parallels can be seen in Geo Orwell's "1984".
Sorry for the rant! With my wife's 2 year+ illness, I am seeing the" mental illness" every day!
Stay safe!

Headed to Tyler on 6/30 for The Rose City Airfest, then Randy Ball's TOCC the following evening. Looking forward to getting familiar with the RF 600/4 that weekend.
I've heard the rumors, supposedly powered by a V6, not sure I'd like that. I'm going to order one when I can and we'll see. The Lexus version is a year wait if you order it today. I should order one of those I suppose. Hopefullyy the country will be in a little better shape by then.........................
I have the V6 in my 2012 Highlander and the 4.7 V8 in my 2001 Tundra. V6 was a very strong engine when it was new, but I think I wore it out on a drive to Phoenix when I towed a light trailer carrying a piano for my daughter. Along the way, the transmission overheated a couple of times driving on the flats of I-10 in New Mexico. I had the Toyota guys flush it and inspect it in Phoenix. They said it was good to go with no damage. Now the engine is leaking oil.
The 4.7 V8 and the Tundra has been through the wringer towing rocks, 6000# travel trailer plus all the work here on the farm. The engine has 194,000+ miles and nearly 22 years of use. Still runs great. In fact, my 2001 Tundra is in better shape than the 2012 Highlander. Need to get rid of the Highlander, it is beginning to cost $,$$$ to maintain. Rebuilt the front end suspension about 4 years ago.
That 4.7 V8 is a workhorse that powered the Lexus V-8s in the late '90s and early 2000s. Great engine.

Jim, when my friend and I drove down to Barksdale a few months ago, we rented a Toyota 4Runner, worst SUV I have ever driven, felt so bloating, perhaps it was meant more for off road adventures than highway cruising.

Thanks Dan! I am heading to Latrobe for the show on Sat. It will be a very short show, TB, A-10, Osprey and some other civilian stuff that I don't really care about. I will stop by the United Flight 93 Memorial again on my way to see if I can take some pictures this time. I had a very spooky experience there last year. I still can't comprehend it.

Fantastic Bill!
I have just a very few left from your 1st, rather 2nd, batch and they are a HUGE hit with the men I served with in combat!
Extremely well made, professional coins! Never have seen a better one in the 54 years since my tours of duty.
I thank you and the men I passed one off to thank you also!

Been rather busy lately, so I haven't had the time to post anything lately.
Photographed this Citation X a few weeks ago. I've photographed two more, since this one. The Citation X holds a special place in my heart as it was the first private jet I ever got to fly in.
Way back when, I flew from Austin Executive, to Destin, FL to Houston Hobby and back to Austin, all in one day. What a trip that was.
