Little known fact, they will come back from a flight and someone will mention to the crew chief that he might want to polish the blue scuff off of number ?'s canopy..................yikes!
Just moved to North Carolina and finally have a decent aviation photo destination less than an hour away at Seymour Johnson AFB. No fighters in the air on my first visit, but was able to capture this Paris Island based KC-130J doing pattern work. I shall return!

There's actually a movie made back in 1975 of the Blues when they were flying the F4. I've got a copy somewhere. Some of the footage was shot from the back seat and in some of them you could see yellow streaks on the canopy.

Saw them a bunch when I was in practice in PNS back in the late 60's and mid 70's. Scuttlebutt had that some F4 pilots would make EGY runs to and back from CO to stock up the O club with REAL Coors. I'm sure it was just apocryphal.

Nice stacking, Jim!
I got this shot during the Blues' practice at the Naval Academy in 2021. The campus was still closed to the public due to the Xi virus restrictions. I found somewhere off the campus to shoot from and got this angle that I have never been able to duplicate when I was at the usual spots at airshows.
