Ok Bil My "Navy brother" and life long childhood friend sent me a HUGE box of USS New Jersey "goodies" from Vietnam-Tonkin Gulf. A cd and small box of photos I MUST scan and return.
He missed this years reunion due to hurricanes and medical issues but sent me an "official t-shirt". The is the 1st one he has missed EVER!! He and a local boy were crew members.
As soon as I get his images scanned and returned to him, I will also post here for you and your friend.
If you prefer I send them to an email..PM me.
I will post a view original from the New Jersey "on station" Tonkin Gulf for members....

I have not viewed any of Jim's photos yet but he mentions the NJ's 16" guns firing in a few! Now that will be an awesome photo!
Thanks!

...back when men were men and women wore skirts...👍
Thanks Ray!
Skirts..indeed!!!!
Even though I was "in Country" for 2 years, I never had the pleasure to attend a Bob Hope show. Although I had an opportunity or 2.
I am not sure my hormones could have taken it!

Always amazing to see photos from the past show up. Those battleship pics are quite nice!
Thank you Zane!
Yes I do also! Not the quality one would like but back then the choices, when in combat or "on station", were very limited.
It was the apex of the Vietnam war. From there it was all downhill sorry to say.
