NOAA Men & Women were in today, super, super nice folks. Got some shots of the Lidar Pod they had, was hoping one we built parts for but no, most of ours go on helicopters. Quite the setup on the inside as well.
This is the starting image I still hope that it's printable i looked at it up close and it really looks like it's painted because of the dirty window.
The guys advised to drop the shadows on the fuselage a bit and get more white's in the clouds with masks but I have to get more proficient with that as I'm not really familiar with that.

What if you made it look like a WWII color photo by desaturating the background and selective color on the B-17? Or, go with black and white with grain...you know, go with the flow.

Thank you for asking, still a bit rough, nasty cough, but I think I'm turning the corner.
Good news Jim!!!!
Just be safe and take no unnecessary risks!
My buddy needs his g'pop!!!

Thanks Dan! I'm chillin', our weather is up and down so I'm not under the gun and I'm using this time to edit stills and video. I've got a full week next week so I'm hoping that I'll be back up to speed by then. JIII is just recovering from a week of the crud, but he didn't test positive.

You right I have to tinker with it some more.
Hi Jan Arie,
I just took a look at that file. Something that you will need to spend a lot of time on is cloning dust. Wish I was closer to you, I'd clean your sensor for you. Glenn got to the point where he was spending his life removing dust spots so we met up for lunch and I cleaned his sensor. I felt like I should have been using a coal shovel instead of a sensor swab. I can walk you through cleaning it yourself if you want me too. Dust shows up, but it shows up big time in an enlargement.

I know Jim that was the image i started with so I cleaned al lot of the spots already
Have to say that the full frame swabs are hard to get overhere have to search for other suppliers.
But maybe i have to start over as I don’t edit the original raw files I just make a copy.
Normally i clean my own sensor but lack of stock prevents that at the moment i only have the Arctic butterfly brush.

Actually it is very easy but somewhat intimidating for me.
Usually the "rocket blow(?)" air diffuser works very well but on my 1DMKIIs--I have to use the cleaner and brush. It was pre-Sensor Cleaning auto...

Poor lil guy!
I feel his pain!
It has been brutally hot and humid here until last night. Rains come right at us then hit the edge of the mountains and go SE to "the swamp"(Wash,DC) then split to East to Balto.. We get a drop at best! We have that cool autumn small in the air.
Take care!

I know what you mean Dan, the big concern is that something on the sensor is hard or sharp and scratches it as you wipe the swab across it. My mirrorless bodies aren't getting near the crud on the sensors that the mirrored ones did, obviously no mechanism lubricant flying around in the chamber. I always go very easy on the first pass across the sensor, flip the swab and o it again, then I toss that swab and use a new one. Early on I would send my cameras to CPS for cleaning but that really wasn't a viable option due to time and expense, so I learned to do it. I've always used the VisibleDust system. Each successive camera system has different characteristics, the 1DXIII sensor was always a bit tricky because it wanted to smear. VisibleDust has a product called "SmearAway", avoid it like the plague, it should be named "SmearApply"...................

Your above statement was my intimidation Jim! I don't have a "light touch" and that presents me a problem!

Let me see if I can get some and send them to you. Do you have sensor cleaning solution?
You know it's funny we talked about it online, and after dinner the offer pops up on screen for full frame swabs
So I ordered a set of 15 sometimes that internet thing is funny.
