A couple of shots from last years visit of the Collings Foundation aircraft to Plymouth MA airport.
The gentleman seated is Frank Tedesco a WWII veteran who piloted a B-24 Liberator out of Italy. Frank is 96 yrs. old and every year he shows up at the airport when the aircraft are there and spends his day answering questions about the B-24 and talks about his experiences during the war. I feel honored to know Frank and I'm looking forward to his next visit.

It appears the Cajun Militia is a long way from home...I was part of a two man crew that established and operated a temporary alert force with our F-4s in New Orleans while they converted to the F-15. Great shots Jan-Arie!
These guys from Oklahoma took over our alert force at Ellington in Houston when the unit converted to the Predator drone.
Hey Ray yes they are a long way from home they teamed up with some F15's from the Florida 125th FW for a theatre package that will go on to eastern Europe after the exercise.
Those jets look spotless and great to see them over here...
The Air National Guard has a lot of pride in painting their aircraft, especially ones that will be seen in public or special occasions. However, I don't remember the Cajuns being big on paint, but that one does look nice (I thought it was your post processing skills!). They do like their adult beverages!
This is an old photo from my early days. The TxANG painted this one up to celebrate their 75th anniversary. Boeing borrowed this jet to use for their successful QF-16 bid/fly-off. As an appreciation for the loaner, Boeing paid to have the jet painted back to standard USAF paint scheme with the standard TxANG logos. The reason the jet was repainted was so the USAF museum HQ would approve it for a static display at Camp Mabry, Austin, TX.
Gee, I helped him become a billionaire! Bought my first Toyota, a Corolla in 1974. Since 1989, I have only purchased Toyotas...all were Gulf States Toyota vehicles. Guess I did help an American when I bought those Japanese vehicles!

JR is flying a Phenom pretty regularly now, so I'm looking at one that will handle that aircraft as well. Didn't really need one for the Cub, but it's just fun.
