For some reason the crew that arrived at 12:30 this morning had zero interest in battling the weather from Tampa to Dallas , so they “timed out” and snuck out a side door. After an hour at the gate, an hour navigating to the hotel, and an hour checking in, my head hit the pillow. American claims that the 12:15 today might work……..🤣

A quick search showed the last several transactions were all below $1000, perhaps not in as nice condition as yours. With people moving to the Z system, the F mount lenses are losing value steadily, I think. [...] I know, photography is money losing hobby, but it keeps me happy.

I just took a look at KEH to see what they have on offer. Excellent + grade with case, caps and hood are on offer for $1,159.50. I presume that's with the stock foot. I personally have RRS on all my lenses but not everyone would care. So you may be asking a bit over market value.
Thank you, gentlemen. I'm grateful for your thoughtful comments and your taking the time to find more data on this. My goal is to get a good price with reasonable effort, but I'm never trying to squeeze out every last penny possible or sell at a price outside the market norm. The deal should be fair and successful for BOTH sides.
I'm going to drop the price to $1,150 and see what happens. Again, thanks for your help.

Thank you, Jim, Dan! Some more from Sunday's show in Ocean City. My panning skill for prop. planes still sucks bigly after having gone to over 50 airshows. Hope I am not posting too many but after last year's airshow hibernation I am pumped! .

Post all you like Douglas!!! I doubt many will object!!!! It may even inspire other photographers to grab their "go bag" and hit the next air show.

Love your magnificent images!

Thank you Dan!
OK, you good folks please educate me. I noticed in these shots one of the jets (#4) was carrying an extra piece of something under the belly, what is it and why did it carry this in a show?

It is a centerline external fuel tank. Wonder if he had a serious fuel leak?
Kidding. They may have added it so he wouldn't have to refuel after giving a media/incentive ride? Who knows.
Great photos Douglas. Post all you have, I love 'em!
Change is the only constant in life. We're moving from Miami to the suburbs of New York City in about a month, so we went out to take some quick shots of the cars we're selling. Crunched for time meant an overcast day and a straight natural-light-and-Lightroom setup, but you do what you can.
This is Flash (my 2019 Tesla Model S Performance) before it gets sold off and sent to a new home. I'm moving from this supercar (0-60 in 2.3 seconds) to a three-row SUV, so that'll be yet another interesting transition!

Happy moving, Rodolfo! Must be thrilling to drive something that goes to 60 in 2.2 seconds. The fastest car I owed went from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds, it was a money pit!
Thanks, Douglas! I've driven Teslas since 2008 (Roadster, Model S, and Model X). Loved all of them, each was quicker than the last, and each had better build quality and systems than the last. And no real maintenance problems. It's been a great run.
That being said, IMHO the true fun of an electric drivetrain is the instant response and silent, linear acceleration. Touch the accelerator and, like touching the round volume dial on your stereo, you feel the car move with you instantly: no waiting for a shift, or for revs to build. Or shove it to the floor and feel the car shove YOU at the same time.
All electric cars respond instantly, since electric motors have 100% torque at all RPM. And you can enjoy it as much as you want, because it's cheap: over the last 10 years, my wife has averaged $0.21/mile in gas (BMW 535, Porsche Cayenne) while I've spent about $0.045 per mile in electricity. If you drive 10,000 miles a year, saving 16.5 cents/mile is a nice $1,650 annual gift from your car to you. (If you drive a high-performance gasoline car, it's probably $2,000 to $2,500 in annual savings.)
It's been great to own, live with, and drive Teslas: no regrets. But now I really need/want the space and comfort of that three-row SUV, so while I'd prefer to drive electric, I'm going back to dead-dino juice and a 4.4-second sprint.
PSA on a totally separate topic... y'all be careful everywhere when buying or selling, even here on FredMiranda. On the thread where I posted my 70-200 for sale, someone asked a question a while ago. It seems that a scammer created a fake email address "[email protected]" and managed to convince this guy he was me.
From what the victim is telling me now, he did send payment, was waiting to receive a lens, and has been scammed out of $1200 or so (I haven't asked exactly how much he sent). If buying or selling, make absolutely sure that you're verifying contact info and everything else. Only ship to verified addresses, and certainly only make payments to someone you KNOW is the legit seller.
Hopefully this guy paid via PayPal, or credit card, or something that can help him recover his stolen funds. But ideally, you want to catch the scam before making payment so you're not in that position in the first place!

Amen Rodolfo! One must practice "due diligence" when on B&S today! Gmail has become the "go to" email service for scammers and they(Google) could care less about their legit members!
