Yesterday was an 18 hour day and at times it looked as if the weather was going to win, but perseverance and Divine Providence took precedence in the end. This 11,000 sq, ft. beauty was an incredible subject. I ended up using the R5 II, the Mavic 4 Pro and my OSMO Pocket 4P to capture every nuance. I was tempted us us the X2DII but it would have introduced quite a bit of perspective work in post so I decided not to press it into service.
As I mentioned, I threw just about every bit of equipment I had at that last project. The drone was in question as the border for President Bushes residential TFR was less than a block away. I applied for authorization and it came back in 20 minutes so I'm covered.
He is changing by the day for sure. I got him the RC Bronco for his birthday and it's his favorite thing, There are a lot of spots around the airport that are good for "off roading" so he was a busy guy on Saturday, at the end of the day he came to me with a steering problem. Turns out, Goog;e, the TRAXXAS Bronco has plastic gears in the steering servo and it's a weak spot. I told him I'd research it and we'd fix it. TRAXXAS is about a mile from my house, I researched the problem, ordered metal gear replacements and some specialized tools, all that is scheduled to arrive today and we will dig in. I had no idea but it seems that customizing these RC vehicles is an industry of its own. You buy the vehicle, then there are hundreds of dollars of aftermarket custom components that you can buy to turn your $200 truck into a $600 tricked out off roader. We are just going to get him back in business for the moment, although I did order him a custom lighting package that he'll flip out over..............Show more →
Good work grandad!!!
Most everything built today is disposable! Not gud!
Glad he is enjoying "off roading". You know that in a blink of an eye, James will be driving the "real" Bronco!
Stay safe!
