It will be still another month before the first airshow for me. In the meantime, these flying subjects will do it for me. All shot in the last 10 day at Conowingo Dam, except the great blue heron.

You all have a blessed Sunday.
Douglas
Douglas, these are just spectacular my brother!!!!!
#1 is a dream! These are soooo sharp and detailed!!!! Just wonderfully exposed!
"Well done" just doesn't seem to do you and your images justice here!
Dan
I know exactly what you mean Ray, it’s tough to max out, even at the higher rate. Just feels good in your hands and the machine gun audio never gets old.

One word: Unbelievable!
I am use to when my 7D II buffer fills and several times I found myself pulling off the shutter button...stupid with this camera!
Douglas, I have only used the 'Like' for tagging your photos. However, that Greenie with the catfish is the best ever for wildlife photos and deserves more than a 'Like'!
Each of those images is spectacular in it's own way! That one where the bird is skimming the water is beyond incredible, the light, the composition, the tack sharp rendition, jaw dropping in every category! I gotta say Douglas, you are without a doubt one of the most consistently phenomenal imager makers I have seen in a very long time. Bag air shows, your calling is much higher than air shows my friend!
Some very closely held hints at the capabilities of the new Canon R3, and there is, supposedly some technology within that will render much larger files than the 45MP sensor typically produces. All in all, it's a must have in my book.............
Newbie question here: Why is it that some posts have a "like" button, but others do not?
On a side note.....I received a package from Amazon today, and there was nothing in it. Nothing. It was completely sealed, and there was no damage to package.

Thank you, Dan! I went to Conowingo for about two hours Friday afternoon, came home empty handed. I think I will have to wait until late October.

Douglas! Hold on, I have to get my Thesaurus out, I’ve already used all the adjectives I know!
Thank you, Jim! You are most kind.

Thank you, Ray! Glad you like them. That particular one was shot at 840mm, in APS-C mode, that would be 1260mm equivalent in 35mm format, then cropped away about 60% of the frame. The cormorant was very far away.

Thank you for your encouragement, Jim. It means a lot coming from you. I haven't watched TV for a long time, photographing brings me some sanity..

Sounds like the R3 will be a phenomenon body!
