Like the first new seedlings that emerge after a raging wildfire, my clients are beginning to contact me re: immediate needs. While we are nowhere over the hump at least that is somewhat encouraging. I'm not going to break the "social distancing" guidelines to make a buck for right now, but I can do some aerials and drone work without compromising anyone's health.
Got a call yesterday from an entity representing a large group of top aircraft brokers. They wanted me to shoot 30+ business jets around the country as quickly as possible, with the promise of many more coming down the pike. I thought about it for a bit but I don't really see any way that one could do that and not put everyone's health at risk. You all know me well enough to know I don't turn down business, but this is a whole new situation, obviously. ...Show more →
Well ….. if it’s a barter economy we are headed for …… I wonder if they’d offer a jet as payment ….. part payment of course!
Ok, if this thing is a serious as it seems to be, why are there this many planes moving around the US? They might be largely empty, but still........................
We have quite less but still busy, A friend of mine has those adsb transceivers that are connected to FR24 and those traffic graphics are going considerably down. and still a lot of civil aviation private stuff, don't know if that is also forbidden over here.

There may not be many people onboard, but there's still a lot of mail and packages to move around?

In our region, only cargo flights are permitted, at least for the coming 2 weeks.

My wife's cousin's daughter flew from Michigan to Boston last week, she was the only passenger on the plane. The airlines need some big time help, along with many other business, but the airlines are the most critical, IMHO.
I'm an optimistic guy, but we aren't likely to be on the back side of this for several months at best which doesn't not bode well for any facet of our economy. They can't print enough money to cushion this blow I'm afraid, $1200 sure isn't going to do it.

The carpet in that one was pure silk, looked like it had been on the floor at DFW for a year, but felt like walking on a cloud.......
I remember a couple of years ago you posted an aircraft interior, and the carpet looked like it was taken off the floor of a maintenance hangar. That was silk too if I recall, seems to be the nature of the stuff.
On the subject of my last nightscape pic. I forgot to mention that it was the result of delivering on my promise to go out at dark o’clock and try my luck with the minor road street lights out. Taken at 02:30 local time. If you look on the horizon line you will see an unlit street light. That location is very limited with those lights on, but the overall light pollution was still high.
Some of you may know that I automagically got a thing about photographing benches – no, I don’t understand why! It has to be empty benches – no regulation person sitting with or without a dog / kid / whatever. Since it’s turned back into winter, here in the UK, I though I’d post the image that got my obsession started.
