Wow! That's second only to a chewing out in Arabic! I won't Laura, but I'm actually kind of surprised about how calmly I navigated it all.......I must be dumber than I thought ?
I'm waiting for the sun to set so I can capture this home in the post setting glow, then headed home. Checking email I find that seven new assignments have popped up since 1 this afternoon. They all need to take place in the next three weeks, which are booked solid, can one have too much good news.............
Yes, one can have too much good news. As someone who has spent just about the entire day sleeping, it seems.... someone is telling me to take it easy. I won't be doing anyone any good if I'm running sick. Neither will you.

Don't take that kind of chance. In that situation, asking yourself "Do you want the shot, or not................?!", is the wrong question to ask. You should have asked, "Do I want tomorrows shot,............ or not?"
Take care of yourself, postpone a couple of assignments if you have to. Do what the doctor tells you to do, relax, kick back and watch the grand children play.
Take care of yourself,
Ken
On the other hand (although as a doctor I wouldn't advocate what you did - a systolic (top) figure of 220 is pretty high) 'Any landing you walk away from is a good landing!'
Niall
Thanks Niall! I wouldn't have advised anyone to take my course of action either, but I weighed it all based upon a number of factors and rolled the dice. Would I be regretting it right now if I was being fed, drooling with one half of my body inop, of course, but that didn't happen so it's a moot point. Had I been feeling at all odd, I'd have pulled the plug.
Given the outcome, I made the right call. The assignment involved a significant client, it represented the first of a considerable number of similar opportunities, the window to perform the miracle was 5:30 to 7:30 Sunday due to wind, aircraft on the ramp logistics, project deadline. Not doing it would have affected my BP worse than doing it. Had it been any of my usual scenarios, I wouldn't have blinked, but this was far from usual and something I have been working several years to be able to execute properly.
This BP thing is weird though. Mine dropped significantly after four hours on the med, but it seems to bounce around, pretty wide swings, doesn't make a lot of sense. I can be schlepping gear from one place to another for forty minutes and it's 141/88, an hour later I'm standing shooting a shot and it's 188/102. I called my Dr. today and he added another component that I'm suppose to take, don't know what it is, because the Dr's office botched calling it in late this afternoon.

I make it wiser than you thought.
Vegetarian diet is good.
Hi Ernie,
I eat pretty healthy, lots of salads, steel cut oatmeal for breakfast most days, never smoked, never drank (probably should start!) Certainly not sedentary by any stretch. I eat Texas BBQ occasionally, purely for medicinal purposes

So Jim, in my head I have you getting a call from that nice young Mr Perdue – all in the style of Bob Newhart.
“Hi Gunny, how you doing? Yes thanks, I had a great time – real nice airplane – lots of fun. Oh you just got back from the hanger. The A&P chief says it WAS a nice airplane. What speed was I doing? Well I guess I may have just nudged up around 221 at the bottom of the dive. Gee Gunny, yes I know Vne is 150. No, I didn’t land at the nearest available. Oh, I’m grounded? I’m so grounded that I’m making a tent peg look liberated? OK, well, thanks for talking to the chef – err why did he call? He’s doing dinner tonight and wants to know if I like my worms sauté? “
Now, I know I can say the above because:- (1) We are the same age – all bar a few months. (2) 160 is still WAY to high. (3) I asked you to slow down YEARS ago! I’m very glad that you got help in time and I’m look forward to hearing all about those river cruses (note plural) that your about to take....Show more →
BTW, I have a client who is looking for a used 5D MKIII in case anyone has one and is thinking about upgrading. Let me know and I will facilitate that.

Hmm...a 5D SR or 1D X II might be a good upgrade...PM me.
Remember to look up the side effects for your medicines, the what's expected, and the ones that are "call your doc ASAP. It's going to take a while to tweak these to you and for your body to adjust, so don't expect an instant fix.

i agree! I talked to them last week and in all their Frenchness they are too busy to fly with the likes of me. Guess i'll just stick to 'Merican afterburning fighter jets instead of French trainers

Gallic condescension? Pas possible! Jamais dans la vie!
lol - I took 5 years of French I back in college but just to be sure I even had a French girl compose and translate my emails to them and still snubbed!
