Here's a twist that I didn't expect. Looks like Canon, in all likelihood will not be producing a sequel to my beloved 5DSR bodies, at least not in the form I anticipated. Inside sources are hinting that mid-2019 will see a 75MP EOS R mirrorless camera that will, in effect, be the 5DSR gen two platform. Not sure how I fell about that, well actually yes I am, I'm disappointed. Maybe I'll fall head over heels for this big sensor mirrorless, but maybe not. Either way, it is what it is and nobody asked my opinion so webeesee. Lot's of unanswered questions at this point, crop factor for 4K, codecs, frame rates, slo mo. I figured Canon must have something epic in the pipeline because the "R" has met with (and justifiably so) tepid reviews. Canon might save face, even appear pretty sharp if that was just an opener and the SR version is a feature packed monster of a tool.
I agree that the F-35 is not a 'pretty' airplane...but it's an awesome tool....just like a finely crafted hammer....gotta love the right tool for the right job!
The annual Christmas decorating marathon is complete and my life can now return to "normal". I have to admit, the task gets tougher with each passing year but as long as we have the little ones to ooh and aah, it's worth the effort. James III will have a slightly toned down experience as compared to the ones his cousins have enjoyed, but he'll be ok.......

Why do I suddenly have visions of people shining flashlights at him while he runs circles around the plane trying to paint in a bright white border wall?
Ok, this is exactly what I need, only I would use a later model Lear for the platform just to make it easier to get to and from locations around the world. A $3M TBM platform is kind of shooting yourself in the foot from the get go.
