Got another entry in the weekly assignments, this one was Showing Motion. Hoping to win this one, came in third with my other entry, so not too bad for an iPhone shot
This week has been an exercise of creating lemonade out of lemons, but "All's well that ends well....."and it has turned out to be a great one. I'll not bore you with what went wrong (lot's), focusing on the positive. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to take Laura to lunch or dinner, come to think of it I'm not sure I ate lunch or dinner in The Buckeye State My client and I were up against a scenario I have kind of made a specialty of, for better or worse, shooting a large project that is under a very tight completion schedule, which is never on schedule. When you have a hard stop for a ribbon cutting and gala it creates even more pressure on everyone involved, the least important of whom, is me.
Tents all over the parking lot, trash cans, chairs, trucks, hundreds of workers and hospital employees everywhere trying to accomplish their tasks, stuff that doesn't work, stuff that's not done.............Amidst it all, the lemonade gets made and everyone is very, very happy...............
I'll be back Laura! Because of what we accomplished it appears that I have a number of new projects to shoot in the Dayton are over the next year. We should have lot's of opportunities to catch up.
Ohio is beautiful, but Dorothy was right, "There's no place like home................."
Jim, you know theres'a a kinda cool museum in Dayton with lots of things with wings too. We'll have to make sure we get all us Ohio people together on one of your trips.
I know a couple of really talented photographers who have shot that museum We do need to all get together! How far are you from Dayton? I'm thinking that they will have me go back to shoot a few details that weren't ready yet, and some additional exteriors before winter. Then there are a bunch of new projects, some almost complete (like the one I just shot, some just coming out of the ground, and several that are finishing up in the design phase. Job security, gotta love it!
Nice! and for the not-so-nice, you best be eating and taking care of yourself too. Ohio does have some really great clouds to play with! Just the winter ones are so daggone persistent and ugly. Had I known you weren't even eating, I'd have made a food run for you at least. Wouldn't have been so good if you became their first patient!
